Ffxi field manual konschtat highlands

Can't find the field manual in South Gustaburg. Hey all. I'm a totally new and fresh player to ffxi and am trying to follow one of the starting out guides. In every one I've read so far, there was a mention of a field manual outside of the gates to do Fields of Valor (whatever that is).
